Berenjak Soho

I’ve been trying to eat at Berenjak Soho for a few months but it’s always booked out, and after finally eating here I can truly understand why. This is a gem of a place and is best done in a group of people. Serving up cafe style Persian food, which basically equates to sharing plates, charcoal grilled kebabs, all while using seasonal produce.

We opted for the feast” menu which meant taking the choice out, and thank god we did this as the variety in the meal was excellent. A mix of hummus, black truffle Olivier and Mirza Ghasemi. Various salads, dips all served with amazing breads. I’m not much of a dip person but this was next level. I opted for the Koobideh Kabab which reminded me of being in Jordan, succulent minced lamb shoulder in onions and black pepper, yes please! The wine list is eclectic with a mix of wines from Georgia, Greece, and even Lebanon. This is one of those places that once we finished eating we were already planning a return trip. So if you are reading this, immediately invite me if you get a table here.
