Akira

Housed within the Japan House London, Akira is a first floor restaurant serving Omakase and Wagyu. The whole building has a bit of charm, a tea house on the ground floor, as well as a broad Japan shop selling all sorts of housewares. Akira was a last minute decision, but I’m glad we checked it out as the staff was Japanese, and the food was very good with a quick Omakase menu. I’m always looking for excuses to practice, so I’m glad the staff humoured me. The food is fast and efficient, a lot of variety in the starters and as you can imagine all beautifully plated. I look forward to visiting again and doing some shopping in the ground floor. A great spot to visit if you are exploring the West.
