3 Gorges
3 Gorges was one of the last minute dinner options we went for after I had spent a few days oiling our wooden counter tops. With no inspiration on our side to cook, we decided to try this place as it had been on my radar after walking by it a few times whilst working out of Fitzrovia. We did the 8 course Peking duck tasting menu and it was an immense amount of food! We loved the opening courses, their dim sum section is delightful, as is their Xiao Long Bao. The Peking duck alone is well worth a visit. It’s a shame though that the food was overshadowed by two patrons behind us that were complaining about the food to the chef and owner and giving them advice on the type of food they should serve. The condescension and idiocy of these fools made us and the other patrons laugh. If you fancy a full on duck menu, give this place a chance! The service was top notch, and I was kindly offered some free sake after I finished my first carafe.
