料理や、小料理や

Krishna and Kana decided to show me a seasonal restaurant about 20 minutes from Nakameguro station. Tucked away in what looks like a residential block is this cute high street with an awesome cocktail bar. The Condition Green is worth a pop in JUST to chat with Yuka-San who is so charming and a damn good mixologist. Right next door is the restaurant 料理や、小料理や where I had a delightful meal.

This is an 8 seater, the menu is varied with everything that is, you guessed it, in season. From a single piece of whitebait nigiri, to a sashimi course with uni, all the way to charcoal grilled beef and a prawn seafood rice that was so plentiful, I was given two onigiri takeaway balls for breakfast. I am literally eating them now as I write this entry. The drinks pairing can be a combination of things, I went for the tea and sake option which was excellent, provided at my own pace, it reminded me of my time at Den. The kitchen staff are a team of 3; passionate, attentive, and generous with their kindness. One of the chefs told Kana that she liked my smile as we were departing. I mean, if that doesn’t win you over, what will. Walk don’t run.
