Bala Baya

I’ve eaten at Bala Baya before and it didn’t blow me away, but after a second dining experience, I felt it was worth writing about. Chef Eran Tibi has his own spin on the East Med and his creativity is on full display across both the food and drinks. I started with an orange, chilli, coriander soda which was incredibly refreshing with just a little bit of bite from that chilli. The food comes as and when it is prepared, we tried the lamb dumplings, the hummus, home made pita, and the Moroccan doughnut amongst others! It’s an interesting menu and all the dishes are done with care. With friendly staff and quick pace, it’s a great spot for a quick business lunch or a celebration with friends. They have 8 different types of soda to try so I think I’ll have to go back.
