Zeleste

Keeping with the theme of seafood in Copenhagen, we went and tried this little gem in the city. Zeleste is a cute spot, small tables with candlelight, a very atmospheric space. We tend to go for a tasting menu when given a choice, and it did not disappoint! Starting with some fresh fried shrimps with an herby dip, the shrimps could be eaten whole and were so good I was sad the plate wasn’t bigger. The potted shrimp with salmon roe was very rich, fresh, and filling. Another sea bass for the main, but this one was prepared in a completely different sauce. Pan fried with tomatoes, capers, and oregano. The dessert was underwhelming, but overall this is a solid spot and worth checking out, especially if looking for something a bit romantic.

Price per head: £80 with a grapefruit soda
