Morso

After seeing a very thought provoking play in Kilburn (Shanghai Dolls!), Ann found this cute local Italian in the heart of North Maida Vale, this place is surrounded by residential houses and flats so feels very cozy. Morso prides itself on being the first grappa restaurant in London. I started with a lychee and cherry fizz, trying to avoid alcohol before I fly to Japan, but also because I’m on various meds for hay fever. The food comes as and when it’s ready, the tomato salad was excellent, I loathe raw tomato but in certain instances they are delicious, and this was one of them. The polpette had an amazing texture and was just the right portion size. The prawn linguine with freshly made pasta was as advertised, our waiter said it was his favourite and I’m glad we listened to him. The grilled Brill was flavourful with the just right amount of crispiness, it came with a massive side of rocket which isn’t my favourite salad. Make sure you make room for dessert, the tiramisu pot with dark chocolate is amazing, I’m not a fan of dark chocolate as my go to is a Cadbury button, but this dessert was epic. A super cute Italian awaits, walk don’t run.
