Osteria Francescana

With a Netflix Chef’s table, 3 Michelin stars, and a previous holder of the best restaurant in the world. It’s no wonder that everyone at some point in time interested in food wanted to eat at Osteria Francescana. For my friends and family, this was an epic meal that required months of planning, shoutout to my little brother Krishna in Tokyo for being able to secure the reservation for 9 of us, we basically took up half the restaurant.

No amount of writing can sum up this experience. My brother and his now wife flew all the way from Tokyo to eat here. I have fond memories of all of us staying in Bologna, exploring the city together, before hopping on a train to Modena to dine at this once in a lifetime spot.

Like any 3 star establishment, the service is unreal and not rushed. Like being welcomed back by old friends we were able to laugh, drink, and eat some of the most incredible food. If you’ve seen the Netflix special, all the classics were there. The Five stages of Parmesan, the broken Lemon tart. All of it surprised and delighted, none of it disappointed. The wine pairing was exceptional, I stock the SP68 at home now since I first got blown away by it at Osteria.

This should be firmly on your list of places to dine at in the World, and the bigger the company the better. Like any good Italian meal, it’s meant to be shared with friends and family.

Price per head: £400 with drinks
