La Dame de Pic

Anne-Sophie Pic is the most decorated female Michelin starred chef in the world, so it was a treat to eat at her 2 Michelin Star London outpost La Dame de Pic. I’ll be honest, at this point in time, one of my buddies was tired of me booking all these Michelin star places and wanted to eat something more casual. This worked in our favour, as with slightly lower expectations, La Dame de Pic exceeded and is well worth a visit.

Housed inside the Four Seasons Hotel in East London, this is an epic space. With a bevy of accolades, this is a perfectly done meal with exceptional service. A few standout dishes include the Wild Seabass and Caviar. Made famous by her father, this is fantastic and not as overpowering as it sounds. The Salt Marsh Lamb is perfectly prepared and tender, marinated in Kombu of all things. As a huge fan of Lamb it’s well worth trying. Finally, Anne-Sophie’s famous Les Berlingots are perfectly prepared parcels that deliver that great cheese explosion we all crave.

We had one of those long lunches with Champagne and a ton of laughs, the meal never felt rushed, and if time permitted we may have stuck around the Piano bar after for a drink. However on this day, it was sunny as hell so we wandered to digest this most delicious meal. Enjoy!
