Humo

Fire dining” is something I can get behind, a whole menu concept around grilling over specific species of wood. It sounds nuts, but damn does it work. Humo has a great counter where the open fire is on full display, staff were excellent and the chefs were super friendly as I watched them work. I opted for the set lunch menu with wine pairing, Humo’s all about using British produce and fusing Japanese precision to come up with something new. The yellowtail for example was dry aged and presented with a coffee drizzle which was so incredible I opted for a second serving before I got my dessert. THAT sets the scene for the meal, everything from the garden salad to the trout were delicious. I can’t stress this enough, this is a great value lunch for a Michelin star meal. I’ll be sure to come back and try the full tasting menu as this Fire dining” is something I can get behind. Walk don’t run!
